Life in Israel are controversial – the language itself become militant and it has become a norm. Behind the language it translated to violence behavior. Not to say a violence culture. A culture of occupation: career occupation, women occupation, materialism occupation. All with the same breath of embracing pluralism.
Job insecurity and lack of political development had brought the “Jewish Spring” Summer 2011 protests known as the social justice protests – to become a failure. The creativity and technological innovation is no more part of the Israeli political lobby. Israel creativity is mainly in the technological, defense industry / military capabilities.
The Israeli is busy replacing costumes without thinking of the future or act for change. I choose to bring myself in front of my camera, froze and compressed. A metaphor of a status of the public.
In front of the camera, I explore my inner feelings with the costumes. Some costumes are without a declaration of intent and others are part of the materialism world, the seek for achievements. Some costumes forced by the state, which seeks to serve obediently militant values.
